The translation is: "Particulars about her fate. On 11.12.1941, while escorting the tankers ELLIS and ARCA in the approaches to Suda Bay, she tried to attack the sub TRUANT which had been sighted by an aircraft, but she was hit by a torpedo. While in tow towards the coast, she sank by capsizing."
From "Navi Militari Perdute" by USMM (1975): "ALCIONE sailed from Piraeus in the afternoon of 10 December to escort two steamships to Suda. Off Cape Liman, while attempting to attack an enemy sub, the TRUANT, sighted by an aircraft of the air patrol, she was hit at the stern by a torpedo fired against the convoy. The ship lay crippled, with her stern destroyed and slowly going under. She was however taken in tow by one of the steamships (tanker ELLIS ndr) in the hope of taking her to Suda harbour nearby, but in consideration of the immediate danger of her sinking she was brought to a grounding on the coast, where she sank by capsizing on her left side."
