Southern Laurel, ex Flower Class Corvette HMS Carnation

Hello.
Can anyone confirm that the Salvesen whale catcher SOUTHERN LAUREL, ex HMS Carnation, ex RDN Fris, b. 1941 by Grangemouth Dockyard, were scrapped in Stavanger, November 1966? The Graeme Somner book "From 7o North to 70 South" says so, but other (Norwgian) sources tells that the vessel stranded near Thorsminde, Denmark, December 1966 whilst in tow. A wreck register at the Thorsminde museum does not mention Southern Laurel, (but her sisters So. Briar and So. Lotus).

Norway - Rest of the World 0 - 1 ?

Regards,
Ulf.
