Peppino Palomba confusion

Hello again,

According to most sources that I have access to two vessels were attacked by the british submarine Safari on 8.5.43. One of them the steamer Liv is mentioned on this very site since she was a norwegian vessel when the war started. She seems to have been damaged (or sunk ?) while in Port Torres, Sardinia. For the loss of Peppino Palomba the position is given as being near the island of Santa Maura. My problem is that the only Santa Maura that I can find is an island in the Ionian Sea off the west coast of Greece. That's quite far from Sardinia. Somehow I must have made a big mistake when looking at my maps. Can anyone sort this out?

Best regards,

Jan-Olof
