Hallo

The last question for today

For the tankship Abbruzzi i found the following entries

1897: built (680 BRT)
owner Azienda Generale Italiana Petroli (Agip), Genua
01.09.1942: in a convoy of 3 merchant ships and 3 t-boats beached after being attacked by british aircraft. From the same convoy "Ficci Fassio" was destroyed
09.09.1943: seized in genoa by the germans
26.05.1944: sunk by aircraft in La Spezia

I hope so far it's correct.

now my questions:

under [www.wlb-stuttgart.de] Abruzzi is mentioned with 2315 BRT. I think this is a mixup with the "Duca degli Abruzzi" already scuttled in Diego Suarez.

J. Rohwer writes that Abruzzi was missed after leaving Tripoli on 15.11.1942 and maybe a victim of the britich sub HMS Unison.

If this is correct, what Abruzzi was seized by the germans ?

Best regards
Axel
