I served on this ship from april to november i943. The ship was
new,it was her first trip. The crew travled from New york to Galvston by Grayhond Bus,tre days trip. Ve sailed through Panamacanal via Australia to Bombay India and back again same
way. I`m sorry it is not much i can tell you abaut the crew,I have forgotten. I sailed as able seaman on deck. I think we had some gunners on bord to serve the heawy guns.The Orlecon was
served by the crew.
