Hi Axel,
Equa was built in 1929 as a passenger m/v of 243 tgr (no details of construction unfortnately), owned by the Soc. An. Partenopea di Navigazione, Naples, registered at Naples, ledger #348.
Requisitioned by the R. It. Navy from 13/5 to 2/10/40, designated F.43 (which would indicate she was being used as pilot craft); returned, then taken up again on 11/3/41, this time with designation AS.105, indicating she was used as ASW vessel (AS = anti-sommergibile). Derequisitioned on 8/9/43, remained at La Spezia and there she was raamed and sunk by an unidentified german craft 10/6/44.
That's what I got from the Italian Naval Office, if anyone can identify the ramming vessel I like to know her identity myself,
