Can some one help me with this question please. I am after the number of the ex RN "D" class MTB sold at the end of the war to a Dutch firm called "Company Waling Van Geest & Zonen Gravenzande who named her "VEGEA" her IMO number was 7423 Z ROTT call sign PIEX she was bought in 1949, after three years she was sold to a Johan Scheer of Rotterdam who renamed her 'ORION' she didn't last long as she was wrecked on the Breton coast on 24.7.1952 after the steering gear broke. I have found out that she was handed over to the RN in 1944 and built by Fairmile Successors of Cobham Surrey. Keeping my fingers crossed for some help.
