Hello all,

Sokol on 7.VII.1941 sailed out from Portsmouth to patrol South Biscay, and as Platon add on 15.VII.1941 missed with salvo of 4 torpedoes Belgian Baudouinville. Submarine returned to Portsmouth on 23.VII.1941. No records about other attacks then those from 15.VII.1941.

Is it possible that Virgo Fidelis was shelled by a destroyer not a sub?! Maybe it was sabotaged and run aground?!

Best wishes,
abz
